Laurie J Proud was born in Newcastle and moved to London at the age of 19 to work as a storyboard artist. He later studied at the Royal College of Art, graduating in 1999 with a MA in animation, and has since worked as a director / animator.
Laurie loves to draw and has recently published his collection of comic book work “Peepholes” at Blank State. Laurie is a gifted craftsman who has played a key role on a number of successful Sherbet productions in recent years, from directing Sony Vaio’s “Snow Angel” short to storyboarding BBC’s “The Trouble With Love and Sex” documentary and designing the characters for IRN Bru’s “Butcher” commercial.
