Sheffield based design duo Mike and Katie, aka TADO and London animation studio SHERBET have come together to create a new and innovative project for 2006. Sherbet director Ali Taylor and producer Rebecca Rice started the six week project in May 2006 with a team of 3D and 2D animators.

The cast of brightly coloured quirky characters were brought to life and comped into one continuous epic background setting, featuring a mad mix of flora, fauna and automated machinery.Sponsored by Taiwanese manufacturer, Proton Electronics, PURITY came about from 'Intermix', a charity ran exhibition for underprivileged children. In association with New York's Freshness Magazine the event involved ten prolific artists and designers from around the globe to customize the latest Proton 32-inch LCD television for the exhibition in Taipei.

Ali and Rebecca are looking forward to future collaborations with the designers and their cast of zany, delicately designed characters. 'Mike and Katie were really fantastic people to work with. Their imagination is wild and witty, which has made for such a fun and inspiring project.'
