Laurie J Proud Boogie Woogies back to the Forties for new band the Puppini Sisters

Laurie J Proud created the promo for the Puppini Sister's debut single, 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy', from their latest album 'Betcha Bottom Dollar'.

Inspired by the sassy female vocalists from the 30's and 40's and chosen by Hannah Pool in London's Evening Standard as the hottest act for Summer 2006, the alternative girl group fit perfectly with Laurie's classic cartoon style. Commissioned by Univeral Music, the promo features the heroic GI bugle boy, who along with his band creates a rhythmic whirlwind of fun that sweeps through London.

For the live action sequences that are intercut with the animation, Laurie teamed up with DOP Luke Palmer, who shot the gorgeous trio performing their seductive routines on stage complete with red lip gloss and period mood lighting. Producers were Rachel Matchett and Jayne Bevitt.
