Filmed by the renowned fashion photographers, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, on the set for the Balmain AW10/11 shoot. The animation was designed by illustrator Jo Ratcliffe, and directed by Bouwine Pool. Everglade is a dark and expressive fantasy utilising Bouwine's fluid and organic hand drawn lines of black ink, forming growing branches, snakes and other weird otherworldly characters. The animation accumulates around her like a time lapse forest rapidly expanding and growing.The surreal haunting atmosphere is complemented by the song Everglade, by Antony & the Johnsons and from which the short film takes its name.
